Our heart goes out to the victims of the tragic situation in Haiti. We are wondering how we can help in any way. I have a client who has worked in missions in Haiti, so I am somewhat familiar with the country.

One bright spot is that many rescue dogs are helping search and find survivors. There is a video on CNN.com with some clips of dogs searching in piles of rubble. Dogs can get to places that humans cannot. They of course can find people and victims with their powerful sense of smell. They work until complete exhaustion. Remember 9/11 and how the dogs acted heroicly.

Our office wants to encourage anyone who can to give to Red Cross’ relief effort in Haiti. (That is what we have done).

K9 Gunner Gets Heroes’ Bulletproof Vest

This is an inspiring story about the heroic K9 German Shepherd Gunner in Memphis. He apprehended a felon, who stabbed Gunner tragically over 10 times.
